This unique pattern was made through a venitain glass tecnique of cane working.  Clear glass is gathered over concentrated white color.  This mass is stretched across the studio (50 feet) which resembels one long cable.  This long white cable is cut into 6" segments in preparation to be used again to make a new type of cane.  3 to 30 of the plane white canes are picked up on  a mass of clear glass.  Once melted in, the mass of glass is stretched (sometimes twisted while stretched) to create the new cane.  This cane is again cut into sections and used to make the pattern in the vase.
