Work Experience:

Starworks, Star, NC

  • Glass Studio Tech Intern: Jan 2025 – May 2025  

Worked alongside the amazing staff at StarWorks to assist in making seasonal production items, commissioned work, narrated demonstrations, workshops, events, alongside assisting the 3 month resident artist Esteban Salazar and 1 week resident Cedric Mitchell. 

  • Glass Business Analyst Intern: Jan 2025 – May 2025

Worked with studio Director Joe Grant and Manager Megan Lange to calculate production costs for products, studio operating costs, internship/residency costs, as well as market research for future projects.  Worked with the accounting staff to determine the cost of goods sold for items sold.  This internship was done in collaboration with Penn State to finish my bachelors degree.

Grateful Gathers Glass, Bernville, PA

  • Shop Manager: December 2022 – May 2023  &  April 2024 – May 2024* August – September 2024

Managed a glassblowing assistant in making seasonal production items for Grateful Gathers, as well as in the cold working studio. Maintained studio while the studio owner was away. 

  • Assistant and Gaffer: August 2019 – December 2022

Helped company owner make all his artwork that was sold at retail shows and to over 35 galleries across the country.  This work included seasonal production items, vases, and solid sculptures.  Gaffed the production of acorns and Christmas trees beginning in June 2022.

            *Able to work for Danny again following a shoulder surgery in Fall of 2023

 

GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, Reading, PA

  • Instructor: May 2019 – May 2023  &  January 2024 – May 2024

Taught 2-hour workshops, guiding participants through steps to create cups, pumpkins, & ornaments.  Monitored Open Studio hours for current students once a week from 6-9pm. Co-taught a five-week-long introductory to glassblowing course that had eight participants.

  • Shop Tech: December 2019 – March 2020 

Helped to maintain equipment, changed glory hole air filters, cleaned studio, charged furnace, and was on call to make sure it stayed running.

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an Entrepreneurship concentration - from Penn State World Campus. Graduated May 2025.  

  • Three, 1-week intensive classes with instructors: David Walters & Robert Lewis, Katherine Gray, and Nadine Saylor taken between 2019 – 2022 at the Corning Museum of Glass and Pittsburgh Glass Center. 

  • Three-week intensive course with Angus Powers at Alfred University focusing on technique across basic forms, 2019.
